ihsan saad ihsan tahir (b. 1995, UK/DK) graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts (2025) and Goldsmiths, University of London (2025), and lives and works in Copenhagen. tahir has previously exhibited at O-Overgaden (2026); Kunsthal Kongegaarden, Korsør (2026); SKAL Contemporary, Skagen (2025); 13 Vitrine, Lausanne (2024); Kunsthal Aarhus, Aarhus (2023; 2024); Collega, Copenhagen (2024); and All All All, Copenhagen (2023).

Kaja Lahoda (f. 1994) dimitterede fra det Kgl. Danske Kunstakademis Billedkunstskoler i 2023. Hun har modtaget Carl Nielsen og Anne Marie Carl-Nielsens talentpris i 2024 og er blevet udvalgt til at skabe stedsspecifikke værker til Deep Forest Art Lands Ung Samtidskunst program i 2027. Rune Wriedt is a Danish architect whose work centers on climate adaptation, urban development, and innovative hybrid building typologies. He graduated from the Aarhus School of Architecture in 2020 with an award-winning thesis project and has since worked across both public and private sectors. Wriedt has developed pioneering sustainability strategies and urban master plans, while also teaching at Krabbesholm Folk High School and serving as an external thesis supervisor at Lund University. His practice operates between research and design, exploring how architecture can shape future cities and ways of living.

Rosa Prichard is an architect and educator whose work exists at the intersection of design, theory, craft, art, and philosophy. Through her practice, she explores what it means to be human, and how the architecture in which we live our lives can elevate the everyday into something poetic and worthy of celebration. Her work stems from a deep curiosity about the potential of spatiality to create meaning—sensory, cultural, and existential.

Prichard holds a Master of Arts in Architecture from The Aarhus School of Architecture (MAA), as well as a Bachelor of Arts with First Class Honours from The Bartlett School of Architecture in London. Her professional experience spans both Denmark and the United Kingdom. At JAC Studios in Copenhagen (2019–2022), she worked as a designer on various exhibitions and small-scale architectural projects, while at Rogers, Stirk, Harbour + Partners in London (2015–2017), she worked as an Architectural Assistant and Model-Maker.

Prichard has received several grants and recognitions, including a scholarship and residency at the Danish Institute in Rome for the project Impressions of Rome, as well as a travel grant from the Danish Arts Council (Statens Kunstfond) to pursue a research project in Japan exploring transitional space in Japanese architecture.

Daniel Peder Askeland (b. 1985, Norway) is a painter based in Copenhagen whose work engages with the dynamic relationship between abstraction and figuration. His practice spans oil, acrylic and watercolor, often drawing on memories of landscape, nature, and artificial systems to create a visual language in evolution. His works exist “in a fluid space — an interplay between control and spontaneity.” He explores themes of color, gesture, memory, and structure, with each painting building on the last, carrying forward something unresolved or newly discovered.

Antipyrine (established 2013, Aarhus) is an independent publishing house founded and run by editor/curator Mathias Kokholm. It publishes titles in art, literature and theory—covering topics such as economics, technology, vandalism, publishing as medium and practice, schizophrenia, science fiction and conceptual poetry. Antipyrine operates as an open‑ended situation, frequently in a collective and research‐based manner, with a back‑catalogue of complex and polemical titles that articulate visions of the present. The publisher also organises seminars, workshops and exhibitions, operates a bookstore within Kunsthal Aarhus, and issues the magazine Monsieur Antipyrine, edited by Jørgen Michaelsen, Mikkel Bolt, Mikkel Thykier and Claus Handberg.

Alexis Mark (established 2017, Copenhagen) is a graphic design and art-direction studio founded by Marie Grønkær, Kristoffer Li, and Martin Bek. The studio works across branding, editorial design, web and publications, exhibition identity, and custom-designed objects, combining commercial practice with research-based, conceptual design. Their work explores language, communication, and social contexts through visual form. Alexis Mark has collaborated with international cultural institutions and universities such as Yale University, Harvard University, the Danish Pavilion at the Venice Biennale, as well as museums and art fairs.

Yvette Brackman (born in 1967 in New York, USA) is a Danish-American artist based in Copenhagen. Working across media such as sculpture, installation, video, and performance, she explores how memory, migration, and exile shape personal and collective identity. Her artistic practice often reflects on cultural adaptation and the ways in which histories of displacement continue to influence contemporary life.

Brackman holds degrees from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and the University of Illinois at Chicago. She has taught at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and has participated in numerous international exhibitions, including the Moscow and Liverpool Biennials. Her works are represented in several public collections, among them the National Gallery of Denmark (SMK).

Ukurant was brought to life through countless conversations between the four founders: Kamma Rosa Schytte, Kasper Kyster, Josefine Krabbe and Lærke Ryom. Conversations about defining yourself as a designer, entering an industry that expects unpaid labor; finding your way in a post-graduate world.

How do you go from being a student of design to being a designer? And how do you position yourself in an industry where “good” design is often defined by low cost fabrica-tion and quick turnover restraining the artistic practice?

Ukurant is an exhibition platform and creative community reinforcing the position of emerging designers. A platform not only providing momentary exposure but continuously contributing to aspiring designers work through a multidis-ciplinary network where experiences and competences can be shared. Motivated by the potential of a community, Ukurant gathers young talented creatives to show design from a young perspective – foregoing competitiveness and sharp elbows seeking to strengthen the individual position in a shared momentum.

Ukurant showcases experimental design where artistic and commercial values co-exists. Designs which reminds us of the importance of the functional, sculptural and narrative values of design.
Ukurant’s first exhibition ‘Ukurant Objects’ (2020) received recognition from The Danish Arts Foundation with the statement:

“A power performance of an exhibition that can hopefully shake the dust off all of us – and give courage to step outside the neatly tuned paths that may be beautiful and safe but can go in circles: out into unknown terrain and into the future.”

Ukurant will continue to contribute to the design scene by accommodating new talents and introducing new ideas of commercial and experimental design. Ukurant is founded by young designers for young designers.
