Biba Fibiger
Biba Fibiger (b. 1984) is a Danish visual and sculptural artist, trained at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts (graduated 2016). She works primarily with sculptural assemblages and installations, using materials such as concrete, ceramics, steel, and paper.
Her practice explores the tension between structure and object, image and function, as well as the relationship between the body, technology, and visual perception, investigating how we are “read” and “coded” within cultural and technological contexts. Fibiger lives and works in Copenhagen and has exhibited nationally and internationally, receiving support from grants including the Danish Arts Foundation.
Biba Fibiger (f. 1984) er en dansk billed- og skulpturkunstner, uddannet fra Det Kongelige Danske Kunstakademi (afgang 2016). Hun arbejder primært med skulpturelle assemblager og installationer og anvender materialer som beton, keramik, stål og papir.
Hendes praksis udforsker spændingsfeltet mellem struktur og objekt, billede og funktion, samt forholdet mellem kroppen, teknologi og visuel perception, med fokus på, hvordan vi bliver “læst” og “kodet” i kulturelle og teknologiske sammenhænge. Fibiger bor og arbejder i København og har udstillet både nationalt og internationalt, støttet af legater herunder Statens Kunstfond.
